Payment Terms

1. Reservations 

  • Reservation Fee: You may reserve a vehicle on our website (www.thevanhub.com) by paying a £500 fee, which holds the vehicle for up to 48 hours (the “Reservation Period”).
  • Extension: Extending the 48-hour period requires our written approval and may involve an increased fee. ● No Purchase Completion: If no purchase contract is finalized before the Reservation Period ends, the vehicle will become available for sale again, and your £500 fee will be fully refunded.
  • Nature of the Fee: The reservation fee is not a deposit or partial payment toward the vehicle.
  • Applying the Fee:
    • If you decide to buy the vehicle before the Reservation Period expires, you can apply the £500 fee to the total purchase cost.
    • Alternatively, you may choose to have the £500 refunded in full.
  • One Vehicle at a Time: You may only reserve one vehicle at a time unless we agree otherwise. 

2. Deposits 

  • Requirement: A deposit is required to secure a vehicle purchase once you decide to proceed.
  • Purpose: This deposit is a partial payment toward the vehicle’s total cost and signifies your commitment to buy. ● Minimum Amount: The deposit must be at least £500 or 2% of the vehicle’s value, whichever is higher. ● Maximum Hold Period: We can hold a vehicle for a maximum of 5 days after receiving the deposit, unless we agree otherwise. ● Cancellation or Default:
  • If you choose not to complete the purchase, or otherwise default, we may deduct a reasonable administration fee plus any damages, losses, or costs incurred (including a lower resale value or storage costs) from your deposit. ● If these costs exceed the deposit amount, you will be responsible for the outstanding balance. 

3. Payments 

  • Payer: All payments must come from the person named on the vehicle order form.
  • Debit Card: Any amount can be paid via debit card.
  • Credit Card: You may use a credit card for payments up to a total of £1,000 (this limit applies per transaction or across multiple cards).
  • Accepted Cards: Mastercard and Visa.
  • Cash: We accept cash payments up to £3,000.
  • Bank Transfer: Payments can be made to the following account:

Reference (Required): The vehicle’s registration number 

(If you do not include the vehicle registration as the reference, your payment may not be allocated correctly, causing a delay in completing your purchase. If you’re unsure of the registration, please contact us.) 

4. Refunds 

  • Processing Time: We aim to process any refund within 7–10 working days.
  • Refund Method:
    • If you paid by card, we will refund the same card.
    • For other payment methods, refunds will be issued via bank transfer, and we may ask you to confirm your bank details for compliance purposes.
  • Restrictions: We can only refund the same account or card used for the original payment.
